The Sixth Sense

Traditionally, science recognizes five senses for humans, but culturally, most people believe they posses some sort of sense regarding intuition–that “gut feeling.” This has been colloquially referred to as the sixth sense. In this series of illustrations, all created with a magnifying glass and Sakura Micron  pens, I delve into the world of our physical senses, and question the existence of a sixth sense. Is there a sixth sense? If so, is it so abstract that it is impossible to draw and represent on a piece of paper? Or is the existence of a sixth sense absurd and foolish? I invite the viewer to decide for themselves.
